This really must be a UK first as B&B Audioconcepts keep a close eye on the industry and not heard anyone else who had done this, so now the technical bit of what was achieved, Audioconcepts Team removed sync 3 and added an Alpine Halo in a new 2021 Ford Transit and not only that but managed to  keep all relevant features intact and functional.

It truly has been manic at B&B Audioconcepts this week, as well as the pre-booked weeks worth of work, the Team also had to fit a huge 12k audio build , which came in on a Monday and had to be completed in a matter of days.  B&B Audioconcepts will always step up to the challenge and as a result a few late nights had to be grafted in but they did it , not least of all thanks to:
The dedicated B&B Audioconcepts staff ,Jacco Kaper the amazing custom box designer, Saul Boogie for the amazing carpentry skills, Chris Bennett from XFIRE for the tuning. This is probably the loudest vehicle we have built in the last 10 years, and boy do the ears hurt.  Customer wanted two systems, one for family use and the second for all out bass.

Alpine Halo9 : Android Auto and CarPlay

The HALO9 has a beautiful 9-inch WVGA touchscreen which only uses an adjustable mount attached to a 1-DIN chassis for installation. The default position has the screen’s sliding mount pushed out with it sitting at a 90-degree angle. The bottom of the screen is then centred with the 1-DIN chassis. The screen hovers over or in front of the dash and consumers have the option to position it 20mm deep and up to 30mm higher (or lower) than the default position. The hovering position gives the deck a clean and modern silhouette. The screen can be tilted between four pre-set angle points (45º, 20º, 0º, -20º).

ENTERTAINMENT

The HALO9 comes equipped with Apple Car Play and Android Auto for seamless, hands-free incorporation of the most popular mobile phone technologies. The deck also has an HD Radio tuner built-in.  Maps, music, messages, and phone calls are controlled from and displayed on the HALO9’s touchscreen.

The system is also compatible with Bluetooth technology for audio streaming and hands-free calling features. A USB port is included with the HALO9’s cable bundle for connected video or audio playback, an AUX input, and HDMI input. The HAL09 has a mech-less design, which means that there is no CD/DVD slot, but one can be added with a player that is sold separately.

In addition to the standard Apple Car Play and Android Auto apps, there are a few popular apps such as Waze, Spotify, and Amazon Music that are accessible through the Alpine Unit. You have the ability to customise the shortcuts that appear on your touchscreen so that you can have your most popular audio sources and phone settings available at a simple touch.

Focal K2 Power Speakers

The car audio kit ES 165 K is composed of two 6,5″ (165 mm) woofers and two 025/32″ (20mm) TKM tweeters. This is a compact solution that’s easy to install. The K2 Power Kevlar® cones used for the speaker drivers of the ES 165 K component kit deliver extremely dynamic sound and perfect definition. These cones endowed with all the ideal qualities, lightness, rigidity and excellent damping, have also been given the new TMD suspension. Initially developed for Sopra high-fidelity loudspeakers, the exclusive design of the suspension removes unwanted resonances and reduces the effects of distortion.

The two TKM inverted dome tweeters are composed of aramid fibres. Their exclusive “M”-shaped profile is designed to control deformation of the dome, and to perfectly reproduce high frequencies up to 22 kHz smoothly and with precision. Their compact crossovers are quick to install and easy to set up. Various accessories are supplied for assembling the tweeters, which can be installed in the factory locations, on tilting frames or flush-mounted.
The kit is supplied with aluminium and mesh grilles.
