Custom Porsche Huge Audio Upgrade Exhaust, Suspension and Remap

This Porsche drove in for a huge audio upgrade along with Apple Carplay and Android Auto integrated into OEM head unit and we’re fitting a £8,000 pound Soul exhaust system plus a Techart suspension set up and Remap from the best in the business Cardiff Remap, then back to B&B Audioconcepts for some further technological upgrades.

The original factory Porsche head unit was modified to take Apple car play and Android auto plus phone mirroring then B&B Audioconcepts also added a rear camera with moving guide lines a PDC display.

Focal 2-WAY COMPONENT KIT

This high-fidelity component kit IS MBZ 100 is a leading hi-fi solution that fits easily and discreetly into your car.
The speaker drivers include the Flax sandwich cone, which is made in France. It delivers natural midranges and ultra-real voices. The aluminium inverted dome tweeter faithfully reproduces high frequencies and brings improved sound spatialisation. To further optimise performance within very small spaces, this kit includes a neodymium motor.

The Thinkware U1000 4K Dash Cam is the new Flagship camera from Thinkware. It’s one of the most advanced Dash Cameras currently on the market and is the upgrade from our bestselling DashCam, the Thinkware Q800. The U1000 comes as either a Front Only System or Front & Rear System. It’s twice as powerful as the original Q800!

With a Full 4K Front and QHD Rear camera, the U1000 is able to record pristine quality video that captures the crucial details of any incidents you may encounter while driving. Recording at 30 frames per second without dropping a single frame, you can rely on the U1000 to capture every moment of your commute in high definition – be it an accident or an unexpected hit-and-run.

Connection Cables

Hanging electronic equipment together is a sophisticated science in itself. Connection was introduced by Audison in the early 200’s and consists of ranges of products for wiring power to amplifiers, amplifiers to speakers and head units to amplifiers. Cables and interconnects are available in three different grades depending on how discerning the listener and their choice of equipment is. Just as you wouldn’t run your Ferrari on Gin you wouldn’t connect your Audison Voce speakers to a Voce amplifier with bell wire. Aside from the quality requirement, when dealing with the extreme current capabilities of large amplifiers to use inferior power wiring could prove extremely dangerous.

Porsche Carrera Soul Exhaust

The Carrera Valved Performance Exhaust System has been designed with the professional enthusiast in mind. With valves open exhaust gases are free to exit through a completely unrestricted path out the tips offering a flat six symphony with a tone that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck! On your way to pick up a client or heading out to dinner with someone special? Keep the valves in closed position and enjoy a refined low key tone as the factory side mufflers do their job quite well. If you’re worried about drone on your PDK equipped car, this system will not leave you disappointed.  Street Headers are built around free flowing HJS HD 200-cell catalytic converters and long tube runners for maximum gains in power, throttle response, and flat-six engine tone.

Description

Many owners are underwhelmed with their 991.1 Carrera’s sport exhaust sound and performance – it’s just not enough. We’ve set out to create an exhaust with a true Jekyll and Hyde personality that matches perfectly with the persona of the Carrera – a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Our first priority was to design the system so that with valves open, exhaust gases would have a straight flow path. By using a larger tubing diameter, smooth radius bends and proper X-pipe crossover flow characteristics (improving exhaust scavaging effects, leading to increased volumetric efficiency), our system improves throttle response and performance drastically over the restrictive factory sport exhaust.

SOUND:  The sound is aggressive – a primary benefit of our system is that with valves open there is straight, unrestricted path from the 2.5″ piping to the tips – but we’ve effectively massaged extra refinement into the system to match the premium experience that embodies all things Porsche. With valves both open and closed the X-pipe helps smooth the sound even further. All in all, we’re very happy with the results and we’re sure you will be too! With valves open, the free flowing nature of the system allows for a Cup car inspired sound – greater volume with a greater amount of crackles and burbles on deceleration.  This system is for those who want added aggression at the press of a button. With valves closed the tone is very reasonable and refined, drone is kept to a minimum while still allowing for the flat six sound to be heard.

POWER: Below are the real, unedited, straight from the Dynojet dyno results as conducted by RR Racing with before and after runs on a Base model Carrera. Massive max power gains of 26.5 whp and 36 ft-lbs at 4,250 RPM with hardware alone completely change the car. ECU tuning extracted either further gains for a total of 44.1 WHP and 50.13 ft-lbs of torque!

Techart Suspension

TECHART sport springs and height adjustable spring kits add a good dash of sportiness to your 911 Turbo.  Sport springs allow a lowering of 40 mm and apply agile driving characteristics.  With a TECHART height adjustable sport springs kit, full flexibility is at your command. A wide lowering range of 15 mm to 40 mm allows customised height adjustment. The systen fits vehicles equipped with and without PASM, as well as with and without front axle lift system or Porsche Sport Chassis.

Most modern vehicles contain an ECU (or Engine Control Unit) that is a small computer that controls how the engine works. Most vehicle manufacturers de-tune the engine by setting the software on the ECU to the defaults before sending the vehicle out to be sold and this restricts the power of the vehicle. Manufactures do this as they sell there cars all over the world, this means that the software settings on the ECU are defaulted for different climates, restrictions and laws. Vehicle remapping is where the manufactures firmware is modified taking away these restrictions.

Remapping a vehicle replaces the default software on the ECU by overwriting it with new software that is programmed to optimise your cars performance. This is known as vehicle remapping. When your car gets remapped the tuned software is plugged into the serial port of your car and overwritten by our computers leading to improved engine performance.
