VW T6 Audio Upgrade
This new VW T6 drove in for a large Audio Upgrade and a CCTV upgrade in the form of a Thinkware Q800 Twin dash camera setup. Audio components XFIRE and Focal were chosen to give the much required boost in sound clarity and ample bass. The Audioconcepts team installed all these high end components whilst still keeping the original equipment multimedia system in place. The result has to be heard to be appreciated. Focal K2 Power Speakers
The car audio kit ES 165 K is composed of two 6,5″ (165 mm) woofers and two 025/32″ (20mm) TKM tweeters. This is a compact solution that’s easy to install. The K2 Power Kevlar® cones used for the speaker drivers of the ES 165 K component kit deliver extremely dynamic sound and perfect definition. These cones endowed with all the ideal qualities, lightness, rigidity and excellent damping, have also been given the new TMD suspension. Initially developed for Sopra high-fidelity loudspeakers, the exclusive design of the suspension removes unwanted resonances and reduces the effects of distortion.
The two TKM inverted dome tweeters are composed of aramid fibres. Their exclusive “M”-shaped profile is designed to control deformation of the dome, and to perfectly reproduce high frequencies up to 22 kHz smoothly and with precision. Their compact crossovers are quick to install and easy to set up. Various accessories are supplied for assembling the tweeters, which can be installed in the factory locations, on tilting frames or flush-mounted.
The kit is supplied with aluminium and mesh grilles.
Focal Precision and Dynamics
The speaker drivers used for the K2Power have been completely redesigned. Each component is the result of extensive research in acoustics to push back the limits of performance, of power and of precision! The K2Power Kevlar® cone, a product of unique expertise Made In Focal, is to this day second to none. Composed of an ultra-light foam structure sandwiched between a thin layer of Kevlar® aramid fibres, and a layer of glass fibres, the K2Power cone combines three key factors of quality acoustics: Rigidity, Lightness and Damping, for precise and dynamic sound.
Say Goodbye To Distortion
The new K2 Power TKM tweeter features an exclusive “M”-shaped structure. This new-generation aramid-fibre inverted dome tweeter provides great precision in the very high end, and its combination with a “push-pull” motor with IAL2 technology extends the low end of the frequency response and provides extraordinary harmonic balance
An Optimised Crossover
The components used for the new K2 Power crossovers were selected specifically and optimised in order to improve control over the effects of heat dissipation. These components, which are fundamental to managing the various channels and for the soundstage, are now even more reliable.

Skinz Soundproofing for VW T6
Good car audio begins with properly treated doors and panels. Flexing metal panels and expanses of plastic cause a myriad of issues with car sound from bass cancelling road noise to annoying shakes rattles and vibrations. A flexing metal panel can effective sap the energy away from your speakers by creating inter-cancellation at the rear of your speaker while other surfaces can produce unwanted nasty resonances which colour the sound. Our sound deadening and panel lining products go as far as possible in eradicating these products while our wave diffuser will absorb the sound issuing from the rear of your speakers to prevent that sound reflecting back into the speakers.
